The chakras are a complex, sacred system of whole body consciousness that assists each one of us on a daily basis to bridge the gap between the physical body and earthly plane and the light filled heavens and spiritual plane above. The word chakra is Sanskrit for wheel or disk and signifies one of seven basic energy centers in the body. Each of these centers correlates to major nerve ganglia branching forth from the spinal column. In addition, the chakras also correlate to levels of consciousness, archetypal elements, developmental stages of life, colors, sounds, body functions, and much more. The front side of each of the charkas is governed by your emotions and the back side to our will and actions. When in balance, the charkas assist us in living a life of deeper meaning and connection to all things. Depending on your physical, emotional, spiritual or energetic state, each charka will measure at different rates & vibrations at any given time to assist us in coming into right balance and right alignment for our experience in the present moment. The Personal Chakra Intensive Program is a 4 month (4 weekend) personal growth and healing program that is based in chakra history, yoga, movement, meditation, trance work, visualization, chanting, energy movement, developing intuitive awareness, bio-energetic and somatic exercises, creativity, communication dyads, group processing and much more. Short and long range goals as well as reading and completion of homework assignments are required. This program runs four out of the five weekends only. You will receive a certificate of completion at the end of this program. Please note, this is not the chakra instructor certification program. This program is strictly for those wanting to delve deeper into their own personal, physical and spiritual growth, facilitating deep personal transformation and self healing). *See the month by month curriculum below. The Chakra Instructor Certification Program is a 5 month (5 weekend) instructional program that is based in chakra history, yoga, movement, meditation, trance work, visualization, chanting, energy movement, developing intuitive awareness, bio-energetic and somatic exercises, creativity, communication dyads, group processing, transfer of knowledge and much more. Within each weekend session we will learn the intricacies of that chakra, including it's location, element, goals, rights, developmental stage, identity, demon, excess and deficiency, physical anatomy, disease manifestations and possible causes and the ways you can begin to work to heal those areas that are out of balance and alignment. Each student in this program will be required to complete reading and homework assignments on a monthly basis, as well as to present several case studies and a special project to be approved by your instructor by the end of the program year. Students applying for this program should have a basic knowledge of anatomy, yoga and a personal spiritual practice. Books for this program are not included in the tuition fee. | Saturday ~ October 25th , 2008 ~ 10am-4:30pm Earth, Physical identity, oriented to self-preservation. The first chakra relates to survival and our right to be and to have. It represents the element earth, and is therefore related to our survival instincts, and to our sense of grounding, safety, security and a connection to our bodies and the physical plane. Our work in this chakra is to utilize the tools of yoga, grounding, bioenergetics, connecting with nature, tapping into goddess energy and the creation of tribal foundation through finding one's place among the group dynamic, facilitating trust in ourselves & the world around us. |
| Sunday ~ October 26th, 2008 ~ 10am-4:30pm Water, Emotional identity, creativity, oriented to self-gratification. The second chakra is related to the element water, and to emotions, creativity and sexuality. It connects us to others through feeling, desire, sensation, and movement. Ideally, this chakra brings us fluidity, grace, depth of feeling, sexual fulfillment, and the ability to accept change. Our work in this chakra is to utilize the tools of yoga, dance, creative expression through movement, bioenergetic and somatic exercises, as well as physical and verbal expression of core emotions and feelings through group processing and communication dyads facilitating personal freedom and creativity. |
| Saturday ~ December 6th, 2008 ~ 10am-4:30pm Fire, Ego identity, oriented to self-definition The third chakra relates to personal power, will, and autonomy, as well as our body's metabolism. When in balance this chakra facilitates energy, presence, spontaneity, and non-dominating power. Our work in this chakra is to utilize the tools of yoga, role playing, applied kinesiology, bioenergetic and somatic exercises, group work based in self trust and trust in others. The intent of this work is to facilitate core strength, balanced internal beliefs and personal power. |
| Sunday ~ December 7th , 2008 ~ 10am - 4:30pm Air, Social identity, oriented to self-acceptance. The heart chakra is related to ones ability to give and receive love, and is the integrator of opposites in the psyche; mind & body, male & female, persona & shadow, ego and unity. Our work in this chakra is to clear the blocks that keep us from giving and receiving love fully and to express that love to ourselves and others in balance to all things. Our work in this chakra is to utilize the tools of yoga, meditation, movement, communication dyads, core intimacy, somatic and bio-energetic exercises to assist us in becoming a clear channel for internal and universal love and compassion. |
| Saturday ~ January 17th , 2009 ~ 10am -4:30pm Sound, Creative identity, oriented to self-expression. The throat chakra is related to communication and creativity. Here we experience the world symbolically through vibration, such as sound representing language. It is related to ones ability to have direct and honest communication, as well as ones ability to express their feelings and speak their needs. We will begin to identify the origin of the blocks of this chakra by utilizing the tools of sounding, chanting, direct communication exercises, movement, somatic and bio-energetic exercises, facilitating a clear communication channel. |
| Sunday ~ January 18th, 2009 ~ 10am - 4:30pm Light, Archetypal identity, oriented to self-reflection. The third eye chaka is related to the act of seeing, both physically and intuitively. It opens our intuitive/psychic awareness and our understanding of archetypal patterns. We will learn how to bring this chakra into balance by utilizing the tools of creative visualization and trance work helping to assist us to view ourselves, others and all things from an expanded perspective. We will identify and work through our life limiting roles, projections, negative thoughts, beliefs and judgements, enabling us to visualize and actualize or deepest goals and dreams into full manifestation. |
| Saturday ~ April 25th, 2009 ~ 10am-4:30pm We will learn the principle of mind body healing through the chakra system as we recap all the tools we have experienced throughout this program to facilitate whole body healing. Students will be given the required opportunity to practice their instructional skills within the group dynamic, with constructive assessment of their knowledge of the chakra system, their communication skills and ability to transfer learned information effectively, by their classmates and instructor. Students will also present the case study portion of this program. *Applicable to students in the chakra instructor certification program only. |
| Sunday ~ March 1st , 2009 ~ 10am-4:30pm There are dual currents that support the proper function of the multidimensional chakra energy system. We will learn the significance of these currents and the roles they play in assisting us in our desire to seek personal freedom and liberation, as well as how they help us to bring our goals and dreams into manifestation and form on the physical plane. We will utilize the tools of grounding, bio-energetic and somatic exercises, meditation, group processing and techniques to begin to dismantle past traumas, bound energetic physical charge and life limiting belief systems. |
| Saturday ~ February 28th, 2009 ~ 10am-4:30pm Thought, Universal identity, oriented to self-knowledge. The crown chakra relates to consciousness as pure awareness. It is our connection to the greater world beyond, to a timeless, spaceless place of all-knowing. We will work to develop this chakra utilizing the tools of intuitive awareness exercises, trance, meditation and creative visualization to facilitate a deeper connection to our own core knowledge, wisdom, understanding and spiritual connection. We will also learn the meaning behind the physical and emotional blocks that prevent this energy center from assisting you to connect with your highest self, the divine and all things. |

| Sunday ~ April 26th, 2009 ~ 10am - 4:30pm Our final session will be utilized for the presentation of each students special project. Students will present their project to the group as an instructional class within a one hour time allotment. Each project should incorporate basic knowledge of the chakra system with a concentration in a particular area chosen by the student. All projects must be approved by your instructor before beginning your work. At the conclusion of the presentations of special projects we will have a graduation ceremony for those students who have completed all the requirements of the Chakra Instructor Certification Program. *Applicable to students in the chakra instructor certification program only. |
